Ralph Johnson joins IDI as the assistant director of education and development programs

ralph-johnson.jpgIDI is excited to announce Ralph Johnson as the most recent member to join the Office for Institutional Diversity and Inclusion as the assistant director of education and development programs. Ralph started his role on Monday, April 22nd, working with Director of Education and Development Programs Patricia L. Stewart, Ph.D., and the Education Development Team.

Ralph previously served as a civil rights advisor in MSU's Office for Civil Rights and Title IX Education and Compliance, where he served as the primary point of contact regarding procedural engagement and support for requested or assigned advisees, both respondent and claimant, throughout all phases of the formal investigatory and resolution process. Additionally, Ralph developed and maintained a detailed understanding of federal Title IX policy and related institutional policies and practices, as well as a host of other key duties related to his position.

In 2018, Ralph earned his master’s in higher education with an emphasis in adult learners from Grand Valley State University and holds a BS in behavioral science with an emphasis in psychology. He is a seasoned educator and facilitator with a passion for creating an open, equitable and inclusive learning environment. He looks forward to developing meaningful and impactful educational programs in his new role.
