IDI welcomes Micaela Flores as the assistant director of DRN

In March, the Office for Institutional Diversity and Inclusion welcomed Micaela Flores as the assistant director for the Diversity Research Network, working with DRN Director Deborah J. Johnson, Ph.D. 

Micaela previously served as the assistant director of admissions in the MSU College of Veterinary Medicine, where she ensured the quality of doctor of veterinary medicine recruitment, admissions and scholarship communications, activities and events, among various other duties.  Micaela also has extensive experience working with faculty, staff and professional students to advance diversity, equity and inclusion through educational events and programming.

In 2022, Micaela earned her MA in higher, adult and lifelong education and also holds a BA in interdisciplinary studies in social science, sociology and community relations. She has been an invited speaker, has given several presentations and has a host of professional development certificates.
