Diversity Research Network hosts 9th fall reception

October 1, 2024 - Micaela Flores

The Diversity Research Network, or DRN, was established nearly a decade ago in response to a qualitative study on the work experiences of underrepresented tenure-system faculty at Michigan State University. Since its inception, the DRN has provided a vital space for networking, collaboration and support among faculty and scholars.

Each year, the DRN hosts an annual reception, offering members an opportunity to connect, exchange ideas and share information. Attendees strengthen relationships with fellow members, engage with DRN advisory board members and interact with key MSU administrators.

This year's fall reception took place on Sept. 24 at Cowles House. Participants enjoyed a shared meal and were exposed to campus leaders where networking to foster interdisciplinary collaboration and enhancing diversity in scholarship across the university were open opportunities.
