CIEG awards 41 proposals

The Office for Inclusive Excellence and Impact is funding 41 projects this academic year through the Creating Inclusive Excellence Grants program. In total, the office is distributing $253,000 across campus to enhance the learning, living and working environment at Michigan State University.
An expert panel committee reviewed proposals submitted by MSU-affiliated students, staff and faculty for a maximum award of $7,000, a decrease from previous years due to budget reductions. Projects range from ethnic studies to the arts, including place-based storytelling, mental health equity, gender identity, global connection and more.
