IDI is excited to introduce Brady Velazquez (she/her) as the newest addition to the Office for Institutional Diversity and Inclusion team. Brady started her role as the equity and compliance coordinator on Sept. 18th. Her arrival marks a milestone in our ongoing commitment to fostering diversity, equity and inclusion across Michigan State University.
Brady brings a wealth of experience and a passion for equity and compliance to our team. As a project manager with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, she demonstrated her dedication to creating inclusive and accessible spaces that facilitate innovation, learning and continuous improvement. Her work reflects a deep understanding of the power of diversity in driving positive change.
With a strong background in operational support, budget management and event planning, Brady's skill set will be instrumental in ensuring that MSU continues to meet its commitment to equity and compliance standards.
Brady is no stranger to MSU; she holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in interdisciplinary studies in social science from our university. In addition to her academic achievements, she has earned numerous professional development certificates and actively engages in various community activities, further highlighting her dedication to making a difference.
We believe that Brady's diverse background and her commitment to our shared mission will greatly contribute to the ongoing efforts of IDI. She will be working closely with Matt J. Olovson, J.D., director of equity and compliance, Virgi Strickland, senior equity, inclusion and compliance analyst, and Audrey Bentley, senior outreach coordinator, enhancing our capacity to promote equity and compliance throughout the MSU community.
Please join IDI in extending a warm welcome to Brady Velazquez. We are excited to have her on board, and we look forward to the continued positive impact she will make at MSU.
