17th Annual Muslim Mental Health Conference

Fri, April 11, 2025 8:00 AM - Sat, April 12, 2025 9:00 PM at Soho Banquet & Event Center, Detroit

Presented by the Michigan State University Department of Psychiatry

Theme: Building Resilience Through Resistance and Collective Care

This conference will delve into the powerful ways in which social-political, psychological, and/or cultural resistance and collective care intersect to cultivate resilience within Muslim communities.

Amidst the various challenges faced by Muslim communities locally and globally, the concepts of resistance and collective care have become vital pathways to resilience. This year's theme focuses on how these practices—whether through acts of disruption against systemic injustices or through nurturing community bonds—fortify the mental health and well-being of Muslim individuals and communities.
