Diversity Research Network hosts 8th fall reception

October 27, 2023 - Deborah J. Johnson

The Diversity Research Network, or DRN, was created in response to a qualitative study on the experiences of underrepresented tenure system faculty at Michigan State University in their work environments about ten years ago.

Each year, the DRN holds a reception for members to gather and engage in networking, conversation and information sharing.

Those in attendance build relationships with other members, meet the DRN advisory board and interact with key administrators at MSU.

The DRN fall reception occurred on Oct. 10 this year at Cowles House. Members and attendees had the opportunity to converse over a shared meal and discuss interdisciplinary collaboration across disciplines and how to enhance diversity in scholarly contexts throughout the university.
