Hiring and Recruiting
The Office for Institutional Diversity and Inclusion oversees the MSU Affirmative Action program for employment. In this role, the office works with colleges and units to:
- Provide resources and offer workshops on best practices in the recruitment and selection of faculty, academic staff and support staff
- Identify additional recruitment resources to target diverse populations or identify potential diverse candidates for vacant positions
- Monitor individual hiring recommendations for compliance with academic or support staff hiring procedures to ensure equal opportunity, nondiscrimination and affirmative action
