Diversity & Inclusion eLearning

Please note: All incoming students will receive an email with instructions on how to complete the Diversity & Inclusion e-Learning. Students with disabilities will be provided accommodations for completing the Diversity & Inclusion e-Learning by contacting the Office for Inclusion and Intercultural Initiatives at (inclusion@msu.edu).

Before arriving on campus, it is important for incoming students to understand that inclusion is a core value at Michigan State University. Our goal is for our students to engage with their fellow Spartans with an open mind and willingness to learn from one other.

The Diversity & Inclusion eLearning was developed to give a general overview of diversity and inclusion at MSU, an introduction to basic terms and concepts, and a sense of how students can engage with each other more deeply at MSU.

All undergraduate, first-year incoming students, and transfer students are required to complete the eLearning, which includes a series of videos and self-assessments. The e-learning takes approximately 30-45 minutes to complete. They will receive an email with instructions for accessing the e-learning on Desire2Learn. Please direct any questions and requests for accommodations to the Office for Inclusion and Intercultural Initiatives at inclusion@msu.edu or 517-353-4563.

For members of the campus community interested in viewing the videos associated with
the e-learning initiative, see below. Learning assessment questions available upon request.
